Dr. Teri Kibblewhite
Veterinarian
Dr. Teri Kibblewhite was raised in Stony Plain, AB, but spent lots of time in Okotoks where her grandparents lived. After earning her DVM in 1993 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (Saskatoon, SK) she completed a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College (Charlottetown, PEI). In 1994 she returned to the Edmonton area to work in small animal practice. In 1998 Teri opened Westside Animal Clinic. She sold the practice and moved to Calgary in 2002 in order to start a family, doing locum work in and around the area. In 2006 she joined the Bow River Veterinary Centre in Canmore. In 2013 Teri moved to Okotoks working at the Foothills Animal Hospital. Dr. Kibblewhite actively continues her veterinary education by attending numerous continuing education seminars, lectures and conventions. Her professional interests include orthopedic surgeries, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Her family consists of Ryan, her son, 2 pugs, Annabelle and Calen and 5 cats, Merlin, Jack, Franklin, Charlie and Chester.
Ronda Cann
Registered Reiki Practitioner
Ronda has been practicing Reiki since 2004 and became a registered practitioner with the Canadian Reiki Association in 2012. Her passion is to help transition people and animals into a vibrant and balanced way of life. Reiki is a great way to balance the body through a non-invasive technique allowing your pet to reset and recharge. It is a great modality that can assist people and animals of all ages. Reiki can help animals cope with stress, anxiety and assist with pain management. Ronda helps create a space that allows the energy fields to realign and achieve the balance to maintain overall wellness.
Mattea Tuttle
Clinic Manager
Mattea grew up on an acreage outside of Okotoks with her dogs, cats, and horses. She knew from a young age she would be working with animals and after high school received her dog and cat grooming certification and worked out of a vet clinic for 5 years as a groomer. She since has worked at an emergency small animal clinic and as a large animal ambulatory vet assistant. Mattea now lives in High River with her husband, daughter and their 3 dogs. In her spare time you will find her running her photography business, camping and riding horses!
Jaclyn Finlay
Receptionist
Jaclyn grew up in High River with two wonderful dogs. Following high school, she lived in Edmonton for several years where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology. A few years ago she returned to High River working in the financial industry and began volunteering regularly at the local animal shelter. Volunteering helped her realize her lifelong love of animals should guide a new career direction. In 2018, Jaclyn graduated at the top of her class from the Veterinary Office and Technical Assistant program at Robertson College. As she begins her career in the veterinary field, Jaclyn is excited to bridge a passion for animals and a desire to help people. At home, Jaclyn loves to spend time with her cats Hugo, Daphne, Sebastian, and Bryn, who all love to model their large collection of bow ties. She also enjoys spending time skiing in the mountains and experiencing food and travel with her partner Stephen.
Brianna Blake
Tech Assistant
Brianna Blake grew up on her family’s ranch just outside of Stavely Alberta surrounded by many animals ranging from cattle to chickens to your regular dogs and cats. Her passion for animals started at a young age as she helped her parents with many different chores on the ranch. Spending time with her animals and assisting her parents on the family ranch brought Bri to the realization that she wanted to pursue a career involving animals. Following high school, Bri took some time to discover herself before attending Old College for the Veterinary Technician Assistant program. Bris hobbies include athletics such as riding, curling, playing basketball and volleyball. In her spare time you can find Bri playing with her dog Mo or spending time with her family and friends.
Belle Martineau

Belle Grew up in Canmore, AB. Working at the local Veterinary there for 3 years. Her family moved to Black Diamond AB in 2006. Where she completed school with honors. Working in many different positions over the years, she was always drawn to Veterinary Medicine and began working back in clinics in 2011. In 2019 she completed her degree in Veterinary Practice Management.
Belle shares her home with her Husband Wayne, daughter Isabella, 2 dogs Chess & Whiskey and 2 Cats Bob & Beans.
Jaime Barich
Administration
Jaime grew up in Calgary, she has always loved all pets. In 2007 she took a course to become a Veterinary office assistant. Jaime absolutely loved this course and has worked in Vet clinics since then. In late 2020 she took a medical transcription course as well.
Jaime has lived in Black Diamond for the past 15 years with her husband Danny, and 2 beautiful daughters. Currently she has a Boston terrier x staffy named Koby, a pug named Memphis and the newest addition to our family is a chihuahua named Remy.
Nicole McDonald

Nicole grew up in Okotoks and always has been known for her deep love of all kinds of animals. Growing up, Nicole had horses, dogs& hamsters. She always knew she would end up in a field working closely with animals. In 2016 she attended college in BC getting certified as an Equine Massage/Sport therapist.
On her days off you can either find Nicole at the farm, or going on adventures with her two dogs, Izzy and Sue.
Sienna Bowker
Registered Animal Technologists
Sienna grew up on a small acreage outside of Millarville. From a young age she was always surrounded by animals which sparked a deep love for spending time with them. By the time she was in high school she knew she wanted to pursue a career that involved working with animals, so she started volunteering at a local vet clinic. This eventually grew into a reception position where she continued to work up until she attended AHT program at Olds College from 2019-2021. After graduating she did some work with horses until finally joining the team at Riverwood in early 2022. Her fur family includes two cats Bella and Lynx, two dogs Henny and Nelly, and her mare Freckles. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, watching movies, and going for rides with Freckles.
Kristina Dawson
Receptionist
Kristina grew up on an acreage in Saskatchewan. From a young age she enjoyed being involved with helping her family care for their five dogs, cats, and their farm animals - especially her goat, Thelma. Her professional career has involved working in boarding kennels, dog daycares, animal shelters and Veterinary clinics. She has fostered dogs in her home and volunteered with multiple rescues in Alberta since 2011. She has a thirst for knowledge and continued education at Robertson College where she graduated from the Veterinary Office & Technical Assistant program in 2017. Kristina has a keen interest in animal behaviour and nutrition, in her spare time you can often find her reading books on these subjects for her enjoyment.
Kristina now resides in Calgary with her husband, two daughters and their rescues, a feisty cat named Marble and Pyrenees mix Kola.

I’ve resided in High River for most of my life. I live with my Boyfriend Rob, 2 sphinx cats named Dobby and Kitten, and our chihuahua named Sampson. After years of retail, I decided I was ready for an exciting change, so I went to school and graduated with a medical office assistant with a vet specialty Diploma. I have always had a big passion for animals, and it’s been a focus to one day work around and with them.
Alex Morrison
Receptionist
Alex was raised in St. Catharines, Ontario in a household always full lovingly with pets of all kinds. While growing up Alex had not only a passion for animals but began her love for horses as well. At 8 years old, she started dressage lessons and would compete regularly in competitions. Fast forward to 2012, Alex obtained her diploma in Graphic Design, Art and Fundamentals. With this education Alex in her spare time works on her equine photography as well as other pet portraits. In 2014, Alex moved out to Olds, Alberta to pursue her education in Equine Science and Business Events at Olds College. After graduation, Alex secured a position at High Field Stock Farm as a Breeding Assistance. With this role, Alex would help administer medications, as well as provide first aid for the horses. When not at the clinic helping your beloved animals, you can find Alex barrel racing, working on her equine photography, as well as hiking with her two pups Jyp and Marvin.
Louise Sutton

Louise moved from England in 2019. Her job path has primarily been in wine sales where she was fortunate to grow within that career. She always had a passion to work with animals so began work with the Winnipeg Humane Society on arrival to Canada and then the Calgary Humane Society for the last 2 years. Louise is excited and fortunate to be a part of the Riverwood team and loves meeting their clients and pets. In her free time Louise loves chillaxing with her fiancé and her cat Loki. Her dream is to own an acreage, adopting as many animals as she can!
Megan Gillanders
Front Lead
Megan grew up on a large ranch outside of Cochrane before moving back to Cayley where her family originated. She then graduated high school in High River. Being in 4H and having animals for her entire life, she knew veterinary medicine is where she belonged. Other than briefly exploring event planning, Megan had been in the field for almost 10 years before joining Riverwood Veterinary Clinic in 2023. She now lives with her husband outside of Blackie with her chihuahua, Piper, ragdoll, Max, their spunky shop cats, Bonny, and Clyde, as well as their goofy ducks.
Hailey Watterston

Hailey grew up in Okotoks, she has always had a love for animals. Even as a young girl Hailey was always saving every animal she could, even frogs. Hailey enjoys most outdoor activities and is always up for an adventure. Hailey started her journey in the veterinarian world by completing the veterinarian office assistant course and will be continuing her education to become a veterinarian tech assistant. Hailey still lives in Okotoks with her family, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Nicole Broussard

I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in B.C in 2010 and have worked at small animal hospitals since then. Not only working with dogs and cats but often volunteering as well. In the past I have volunteered with Canadian Animal Assistance Team, SPCA spay/neuter days, Paws for Hope and even travelled to Guatemala in 2011 to volunteer at an animal shelter. At home I have two cats Mr.Tibs and Maiev, a rottweiler mix named Goose and a pug named Hammond. I also enjoy the equine world and have owned horses in the past. Our family's future goals are to own a farm housing many animals both small and large. I enjoy spending my free time gardening, crocheting, continuing my education and drinking coffee.
Sara

Sara grew up in Ontario and moved to Alberta in 2017 with her parents and older brother. She attended Olds College in 2020 where she graduated from the Veterinary Technician Assistant program with distinction. Since then Sara has worked in the industry as both Vet reception and Vet assistant, loving every minute of it. Sara got married in 2021, and moved to High River in 2022 where she currently lives with her husband, her twin boys Maverick and Miller, and their cat Athena. When Sara is not hard at work at the clinic, she can be found enjoying time with her family and making memories for her kids. She enjoys video games, skiing, and boating on the lake in BC during the summer.

Caylee is originally from Vauxhall, Alberta, where she grew up on a farm with her parents and two younger brothers, developing a lifelong love for animals. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in the chuckwagon circuit and riding her own horses.
